Volunteer - Community Service

Thank you for your interest in becoming a City of Delano volunteer. Volunteering for the City is one of the best examples of government and people working together for the betterment of this community. It will give you an insider's look at how local government works and the challenges that are faced when serving a community. This is an opportunity for you to share your talents, skills, and opinion on how to better serve our community. We consider our volunteers one of the most diverse and rich resources in our community, and we're glad to have you join us!

How do I become a Volunteer?

Anyone interested in volunteering for the City must first complete and submit an application and sign a release of liability form. Application is available here. Please print and complete then submit to the City of Delano Human Resources Department located at 1005 11th Avenue, Delano, CA 93215.

Who Can Volunteer?

Community members 16 years of age and older are encouraged to volunteer in activities sponsored by the Recreation, Parks and the Animal Shelter Departments. Please be advised that all volunteers who are volunteering MUST be fingerprinted and cleared with the Department of Justice before beginning volunteer service. (at no cost to the volunteer by the Human Resources Department)
